This November 15th, AtlantiCare held their ribbon ceremony for the opening of their new Medical Arts Pavilion. Just next door to the hospital, this multi-million dollar facility will be the new home base for medical education, state of the art equipment, and the expansion into multiple healthcare services. A beautiful facility with a head start to addressing healthcare and the national physician shortage.
AtlantiCare’s new Medical Arts Pavilion, is an all new construction the regional healthcare system specifically developed to enhance access to quality care for the Atlantic City community. The 38.3 million dollar facility is approximately 69,700sq.ft, and includes Maternal Fetal, Family Planning services, in addition to federally qualified healthcare (FQHC) services, such as, Family Medicine, Pediatrics and Dental. The Pavilion is also the new home base of AtlantiCare’s Medical Education
Program. The building establishes a new home for graduate and undergraduate medical education programs and includes a state-of-the-art Simulation Center with four simulation labs and an auditorium with 148 seats.
The design of the facility reflects the surrounding coastal community, with a neutral color palette accented warm materials, textures reminiscent of the coastline and jewel tone colors, inspired by sea glass. Enhancing the overall design, the interiors team worked closely with the healthcare system to provide areas for specialty artwork and donor opportunities, including a dedicated donor wall located on the third floor. In all the facility is home to 220 pieces of artwork by resident New Jersey artists.
