Enhancing Operating Rooms and Sterilization with Design Integration
The new expansion and renovation project with Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital (RWJUH) consisted of four new floor additions or 85,000 sqft approximately. Starting officially in July 2020 with a multi-phase approach, improvements were implemented in the operating rooms, sterilization stations, reception, surgical waiting areas, house storage, administrative stations, and support spaces. All spaces were equipped with the latest technology and equipment, encapsulating a design to enhance the patient and staff’s procedural efficiency.
The project broke ground to meet the increasing demand for specific surgical intervention, to enhance quality and treatment to patients. Building a newfound community threshold, RWJUH enabled a strong integration of design implementation to ensure the renovation’s success. An overall and current success, these new additions cater to building a safe and the best working space, but also a comfortable space for patients.
